Bali: Stunning beaches, coral reefs, terraced rice paddies, and unique cultural scene, especially in the cultural hilltown of Ubud. Despite popularity, it’s still possible to escape the crowds to quieter rural areas for an authentic experience.
Java: The country’s heartland with highlights being the ancient cultural centre of Yogyakarta and it’s treasures the Borobudur and Prambanan Temples. Also the capital city of Jakarta – a bustling metropolis with culture, cuisine and commerce.

Raja Ampat (West Papau): This archipelago is a famous diver’s paradise with some of the most biodiverse marine ecosystems. West Papau mainland remains impenetrable, largely unexplored and due forests, mountains and swamps almost unknown. However the intrepid and fit adventurer can trek into the remote Baliem Valley to see remote tribes and incredible scenery.
Sumatra: The 6th largest island in the world has 10 provinces witha strong cultural wealth spread among many ethnic groups. The vast forest of Kerinci Seblat NP is home to tiger, elephant and gigantic rafflesia flowers.
Gili Islands: Serene paradise near to Lombok for beach lovers and snorkelers.
Mount Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park (Java): This national park s named after the two volcanoes and the Tengger Hindu people who live here. It offers some of the world’s scariest volcanic scenery and is perfect for hiking and photography.
Tana Toraja (Sulawesi): Sulawesi has spectacular scenery with world class dive sites – including one of the world’s finest at Bunaken Marine Park. Plus the Toraja culture offers visitors a unique cultural experience.
Maluku: These are the historic Spice Islands, fought over still today and largely unexplored.
