This morning your private English speaking guide will collect you from your hotel at 0830. In the morning visit Quito’s colonial center and South America’s oldest capital (close to 500 years),with its narrow streets and hanging balconies.  The tour can include the Independence Plazaflanked by the presidential and archbishop palaces; and La Compañia Church with its impressive gold leaf altar, is considered the most beautiful church in the Americas.

Drive to “El Panecillo Hill” for a panoramic view of the city and admire the 45 m. high (148 ft) statue of the “Virgen de Quito”, the only Madonna with wings.

After the Quito city tour, stop at a local restaurant for lunch.

After lunch continue with your guide for 25 kilometers (15 miles) North of Quito to the Equator Memorial – Ciudad Mitad del Mundo.

An early pick up from your hotel at 05.30 (private transfer). You will be taken to the hotel to the airport for your flight to the Galapagos. On arrival you will be met and taken on your first excursion prior to boarding the vessel in the afternoon.

The best way to view the diversity of the Galapagos is on board a small motor yacht or catamaran, with no more than 16 passengers at any one time. This maximises the time at each landing area, and means that you have a much more personal and intimate experience.
